This was a fun weekend trip where I went to visit a motorcycle riding friend. He lives on Whidbey Island in Washington state and showed me some beautiful spots close to his home. While the focus of this trip was more on riding than photography, I did get a couple nice shots!
It was a wonderful experience to shoot Swedish rower Ebba Einarsson. I was really happy to have the opportunity to take portraits of her in a local park, as well as to take photos from her coach’s boat during a training session. I look forward to following her career, and I wish her the absolute best with making it to the Olympics!
It was a privilege to shoot both professional and family portraits for Realtor Pat Miazga.
My dad and I spent four days camping at Lake O’hara. It rained most of every day, and we woke up on two mornings to a dusting of snow over our tents. Despite the cold and wet conditions, we did some amazing hiking! And although I only brought my entry level Canon SL2 (not my valuable EOS R), I still got some nice shots. I definitely have to return to this magical spot!
It’s great to have a dad who loves to hike and explore so much! Thanks to him I got to see this hidden gem in B.C.
This day of shooting at Popkum Motor Park was one of best of my summer. I had such a blast! It was great to be surrounded by the noise, dust, and non-stop action.
I always love to visit my family on the farm in Manitoba. It was a lot of fun to shoot these grad photos for my cousin Grace!
This was one of the most fun days of my summer. Rosa & Rob hired me to both take them on a motorcycle tour and take photos of them throughout the day. We had such a good time on bikes, and their playful spirits made it easy to capture some very sweet moments!
On a business trip to Vietnam I was invited to go for a ride with the Saigon Motorcycle Club. The guys couldn’t have been nicer, and I had fun taking a few photos of them along the way. The last shot is a photo of yours truly ;)
Located only two hours from where I live is this beautiful trestle bridge. It’s one of the places that I wanted to visit for years, but never got around to seeing. It was such a joy to finally see this incredible artifact in person!
When my dad, brother and I arrived at the upper Joffre Lake, the entire glacier was surrounded by fog. It seemed as though we wouldn’t get a good glimpse on that rainy day. So we sat down, had lunch, and over the course of about 5 minutes the fog lifted and the magnificent glacier presented itself!
Garibaldi is a stunning lake located close to Whistler. It’s a super popular place to visit for a reason. The colors of the water and forest surrounding it is absolutely stunning!!
On my ride back from Manitoba I really wanted to ride up the Icefields Parkway again. However cold and wet weather meant moto-camping wouldn’t be much fun. Instead I just passed through Jasper one afternoon, and took as many pictures from the side of the road as I could!
These single shots (as well as the B/W & sequence) are a compilation from two race weekends I attended in Saskatchewan, Canada. I was on my own motorbike trip throught the prairies when my aunt invited me to come watch my cousing race. As I fricken love motorsport, I immediately said yes! I spent two whole weekends taking photos from dawn till dusk. I think I snapped over 5,000 shots! Here’s a few singles that I really liked. Be sure to check out the black & white gallery as well! Enjoy :)
P.S. To see a more recent motocross shoot, be sure to check out my Popkum Motor Park gallery.
I set aside a few photos to edit only in black in White. I love how epic the black and white treatment makes these shots looks! This is what poetry in motion looks like.
